Long Term Care

Paying for long term care is no longer the prerequisite of just the elderly.

Demand for long term care is expected to increase, due to the rise in life expectancy and the need for help with illnesses such as dementia or Alzheimer's and planning for it can get quite complicated, particularly when it comes to how you are going to fund it.

Most people have no idea how long term care will work for them:

  • Do they go into a care home?

  • Can they afford help at home instead?

  • Who pays what towards long term care?

Although the NHS provides free medical care in hospitals, the provision of long term care outside hospitals is the responsibility of individual local authorities and private and voluntary organisations.

There are many ways to manage the costs of long term care and we can help to explain your options and offer beneficial solutions to suit your individual or family circumstances.
